Child safety standards
Hallmates is for adults. We do not allow any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits or endangers a child, and we act on every report.
Google Play requires apps in its Social and Dating categories to publish standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and to name a contact for it. If Hallmates is listed in another category (for example House and Home), this page is optional but still good practice.
Our standards
- Members must be 18 or older and must be invited and confirmed by their community admin.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualizing a minor, and any attempt to contact a child for sexual purposes are forbidden. The community guidelines and terms of use say so.
- Any member can report a post, conversation or person in the app. Reports go to the community admin, and anyone can write to us directly.
- When we learn of child sexual abuse material, we remove it, remove the account, keep the evidence the law requires, and report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, as US law requires.
- We cooperate with law enforcement in child-safety investigations.
Confirm the reporting and evidence-keeping duties under 18 U.S.C. 2258A for an electronic service provider of this size, and how Fouta App LLC would register with NCMEC.
Report a concern
Email admin@gethallmates.com with "Child safety" in the subject. This mailbox is our child-safety contact. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
You can also report directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
